About Mark

A longtime advocate for families and working people, Bryant has sponsored legislation to increase access to affordable health care, protect consumers, ensure public safety and create and enhance educational opportunities for both traditional and transitional students.


Rep. Mark Bryant is serving his seventh non-consecutive term in the Maine House of Representatives. He is a member of the Joint Standing Committee on Transportation, Joint Standing Committee on State and Local and House Ethics Committee.

For most of his career, Bryant worked for Sappi Fine Paper. He has been active in the community for many years as a parent of children in Windham schools and with numerous civic and public safety organizations. He is a cofounder and board member of Windham Neighbors Helping Neighbors.

Bryant and his wife, Diane, have lived in Windham for over 30 years. They have three adult sons, four granddaughters, and one grandson.
